How do we teach to each other? How is it that we were taught everything that we now know?
At some points in history, knowledge was elitist and even a forbidden concept. In 399 BC, Socrates explained that he was known as the wisest of all men since he understood that he knew nothing. Science and technology discovered is that the human brain is capable of processing 10,000 to 50,000 units or single words in one minute. This phenomenon, called sub-vocalization, is what causes us to have the 200-300 words per minute limitation to our reading speeds in high school and University. Interestingly, its the same speed at which most people talk (unless you live in the Southern US and have learned the Southern Drawl that slows you down even more).

There will come a point in everybody’s life when what you have will not anymore satisfy you. There is nothing wrong with wanting more out of a tired situation in your life. It is the very dissatisfaction of such things that will propel you to grow and change your life to receive more.
Take a mental assessment of your life. In what particular areas do you feel most discontent and frustrated? A lot of people point to the seemingly senselessness of the work that they do. If your career goals are not good, your quality of life as it relates to your personal life will suffer as well
What has career goals have anything to do with my personal life? Your job provides you the money you need to buy things in life. Moreover, the right profession gives us fulfillment like no other. If we view our jobs only as something we have to do to survive-we will miss out on an invaluable quality of life rich in purpose.
Think of certain areas in your life you want to improve on and write down all the associations that comes to mind in connection with it. This exercise will find out what your paradigm is on certain areas which have greatly influenced how you think, feel and act towards certain things.
For example, observe your thoughts and feelings regarding the career you are in. Is it negative or positive? If it is negative, why is that? If you are in a place you are not happy in at all then consider a career change. Find a job that will engage your passions and encourage you to produce an excellent work output.
Keep in mind that a career change without determining the root of your dissatisfaction will only transfer your feelings to the next employment you will be enter. Are there negative associations in the field you are in, or past unfavorable experiences that color your views towards work? Sometimes that’s all it is. Resolve the issues and associations that keep you from enjoying work and you don’t need to find a job elsewhere.
